A first job brings income, confidence and independence, but getting it is hard without experience or contacts. UYN supports members towards a first opportunity, such as a job, apprenticeship, internship or shadowing, with mentoring and monthly pairing rounds.
A career is about knowing your strengths, choosing a direction and building skills over time. UYN starts members with a readiness assessment, then offers mentoring, CV and interview support, and on-the-job support for 30 days after you start.
A stable home underpins everything else, and money or work worries can quickly become housing risk. UYN does not provide housing, but it spots problems early and signposts members to local support.
